Spring Cleaning Advice To Make It Easier For Mothers

Spring Cleaning Time! Let’s get those sleeves rolled up, cleaning supplies out, and lets get to work.

But before we do…lets go over some basics.

Take a deep breath…inhale…hold…and exhale. Now repeat until you feel calm.

Spring Cleaning does not have to be stressful. You can just decide to skip it this year. Do you see how easy that was? Believe me, nothing will happen to you or to your home if you decide that this year spring cleaning is taking a year off.

After all, you do try to keep your house clean most of the time. Right? Or at least the majority of the time.

You don’t exactly have to wait for that one time of year to get your house as spotless as you can.

Now that was easy…you can exhale and just feel the stress of spring cleaning evaporate. I can just see that smile…

Been there and done that. Actually, I don’t remember the last time I did an official spring cleaning. I just try to deep clean the house here and there throughout the year as needed.

But hold on and don’t leave just yet…for those of you that do like to do your spring cleaning…I do have a little bit of advice to make it easier on you…

Get your whole family involved. Including kids and teens.

Decide on a specific day and how much time you want to spend cleaning.

Get your cleaning supplies ready and delegate tasks. Down below you will find some of my favorite cleaning supplies.

* I would highly recommend having the O-Cedar mop. Some hot water and a little bit of dish soap is all you really need. I know my kids would beg to be the floor washers. https://amzn.to/4absbE1

* The Swiffer Dusters with the extender handle are a big help for those ceiling corners and floorboards and they are also something that kids can use. https://amzn.to/3vAE1sb

Now…you can go all out and get fancy cleaners and supplies but I really don’t think that you need them. Most of what you need is right at home. Old towels that can be cut up and used to scrub floorboards, walls, and windows. A vacuum that can pick up a lot of the dust and dirt. Most of all lots and lots of elbow grease…but if you have your family pitching in then you have lots of elbow grease.

Last but not least is to put on some music. It will get everyone in the mood.

Please…please…please give yourself lots of grace and if everyting doesn’t get done…that’s okay.

The house looks better than it did than when you first started out.
